Fanciful hats, seersucker and mint juleps will adorn The Roosevelt Hotel’s rooftop lounge, mad46 (at the Roosevelt Hotel, Madison Avenue at East 46th Street – 212-885-6095), for an official Kentucky Derby party on Saturday, May 5 from 4 pm to 10 pm.

Welcomed by a red carpet on East 46th Street, guests decked out in their Kentucky best and fashionable hats will watch as the Derby broadcasts live from flat screen TVs. Atop the 19th floor of the hotel, mad46 guests will enjoy traditional Mint Juleps and sample Woodford Reserve cocktails including the Oaks Lilly and Woodford Reserve Sweet Bourbon Punch. Fans can also try their luck in the Derby Prize Pool for The Race of the Roses for a chance to win prizes from mad46, Woodford Reserve, The Roosevelt Hotel, and more! Guests are encouraged to dress to impress as a “Best Dressed at the Derby” contest will reward the “Most Polished Gentleman,” the “Most Derby Chic Lady” and the top three most stylish Derby couture hats fit for a day in Churchill Downs.
